WHO DO WE HELP?
We provide food, clothing and other essentials to families in our community.
Our food pantry feeds hundreds of families and individuals with food insecurity. We also have sponsored events to distribute hot meals to the homeless and low income families. Donations of clothing and other items are accepted and distributed to people in need.
Food insecurity is an economic and social indicator of health of a community. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) defines food insecurity as limited or uncertain availability of nutritional adequate foods or uncertain ability to acquire these foods in socially acceptable ways. Poverty and unemployment are frequently predictors of food insecurity in the United States.
The Love To Help Foundation Food Pantry receives donations from local grocery manufactures, retailers, restaurants, and food drives. We assist and help feed hundreds of people per week! We also have sponsored events to distribute hot meals to the homeless and low income families. Donations of clothing and other items are accepted and distributed to people in need.
Over 50 million people are struggling. Your donation can help the Love to Help Foundation provide meals to the families, kids, seniors, and vulnerable communities who are facing hunger.
Clothing Donations
Doing a good deed like donating your old clothes will make you feel good because you're doing something for a worthy cause.
Needed: gently worn and new clothes
There are many people in need of clothing. There are disaster victims, underprivileged people, and children in need of clothing, When you throw away your clothes, they have no chance of reaching people who need them the most. Consider donating socks or new undergarments.
Other Essential Items
Essential items you never thought to donate to those in need include bathroom products such as shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and deodorant - toiletries many of us take for granted. Just make sure the products you purchase still have their safety seal intact.
Dental Hygiene Essentials
Dental access is often blocked for those who can’t afford health insurance. To help people in need keep their teeth healthy and pain-free on their own, donating dental supplies is a must. Consider donating toothbrushes / toothpaste for normal and sensitive teeth.
First Aid Items
Especially for people impacted by homelessness, bandages are often needed but not easily accessible. Help those in need keep their wounds properly cared for by donating sealed first-aid essentials. Consider donating band-aids, ointments, medicated wipes and ace bandages.
Reusable Bags
Bags make carrying items a lot easier for families who might rely on public transportation or walking to get their donated items. Consider donating large bags with some integrity and strong stitching, or boxes with built-in handles.
Please consider sponsoring an individual. We have over 100 people each Sunday that visit our foodbank. Our visitors occasionally donate $5 - $10 to help toward the expenses of operating the foodbank. Often at times, the families we support are unable to make donations and we rely on folks like yourself to donate what you can. The donations go to buying more food, operating the facility, and extending services. Please sponsor an individual today.
